Executive Summary

AT Consulting is a human trafficking expertise firm providing professional training, institutional consulting, and survivor-centered peer mentorship services to courts, law enforcement agencies, child welfare agencies, group homes, community organizations, and behavioral health institutions.

AT Consulting was founded by Aytia, an international advocate and systems-informed professional whose expertise is shaped by lived experience within the foster care system, exposure to human trafficking during adolescence, and direct engagement with child welfare, juvenile justice, and legislative systems across Florida.

Having navigated multiple foster care placements, educational disruptions, system instability, and trafficking victimization as a youth, Aytia developed firsthand insight into the structural vulnerabilities that place young people at risk. Her lived experience is not presented as personal narrative alone, but as operational knowledge of how institutions function — and where breakdowns occur.

Rather than remaining defined by early adversity, Aytia redirected her trajectory through faith, education, advocacy, and legislative engagement. She earned her GED, pursued higher education, secured independent housing, and entered the workforce with a focused commitment to systems reform.

For three years, Aytia served as a legislative advocate and national voice on child welfare and human trafficking issues. She has worked alongside:

  • Florida Community-Based Care (CBC) organizations

  • State legislators and legislative staff

  • The Office of the President of the Florida Senate

  • The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Secretary

  • The DCF Ombudsman’s Office

  • The Children’s Services Council of Broward County

She has participated in Children’s Week at the Florida Capitol, statewide DCF Summits, and policy-focused workshops addressing child protection and trafficking prevention. As a former Legislative Chair of a youth-led organization advocating nationally on child abuse reform, Aytia contributed to conversations influencing systemic change beyond the state level.

Her collaborative work extends to partnerships and engagement with:

  • Broward County School Board

  • Department of Juvenile Justice

  • Broward County State Attorney’s Office

  • Broward County Sheriff’s Office

  • Broward Human Trafficking Coalition and Collaborative Impact initiatives

Aytia has served as a speaker and subject matter contributor in professional and community forums, educating stakeholders on the indicators of human trafficking, system response gaps, and survivor-informed engagement practices. She facilitated high-level dialogue between Broward County stakeholders and senior government delegates and nonprofit leaders representing Algeria, Burkina Faso, the Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, The Gambia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Nigeria, Senegal, and Tunisia. Her contributions focused on human trafficking prevention, policy frameworks, survivor-informed response strategies, and trauma-responsive, cross-cultural engagement. . Her advocacy and expertise have been featured in The Miami Herald and The Tampa Bay Times, and she has received municipal recognition from the City of Lauderhill for community impact.

Currently, Aytia serves professionally within a behavioral health and youth-support program, working directly with vulnerable populations and applying both systems knowledge and trauma-informed principles in practice.

Through AT Consulting, Aytia offers governmental and institutional leaders a rare combination of:

  • Lived systems navigation experience

  • Legislative advocacy and policy engagement

  • Cross-agency collaboration experience

  • Direct service professional practice

  • Survivor-informed subject matter expertise

Governmental leaders and agencies engage AT Consulting when they require more than theoretical training. They seek practical insight, credible lived systems knowledge, and professional guidance capable of strengthening trafficking response, improving youth outcomes, and informing institutional decision-making.

AT Consulting exists to equip systems with actionable expertise — bridging policy, practice, and lived experience to enhance institutional accountability, improve survivor engagement, and reduce vulnerability pathways that allow trafficking to occur.
